North Myrtle Beach, NC — The Gaston County couple who faked the wife’s disappearance at the beach may get a bill to help cover the cost of the search. Β Paul Arrington reported his wife Amy missing last Sunday so she could avoid possible jail time. Β She was supposed to go on trial Monday in Charlotte as a habitual felon. Β
A spokesperson for North Myrtle Beach says the costs associated with the search are at least $50,000. Β That includes nearly $200 for a hotel room used by Paul Arrington. Β He and his wife face several charges connected to the scheme.
