North Myrtle Beach, NC — The Gaston County couple who faked the wife’s disappearance at the beach may get a bill to help cover the cost of the search. Paul Arrington reported his wife Amy missing last Sunday so she could avoid possible jail time. She was supposed to go on trial Monday in Charlotte as a habitual felon.
A spokesperson for North Myrtle Beach says the costs associated with the search are at least $50,000. That includes nearly $200 for a hotel room used by Paul Arrington. He and his wife face several charges connected to the scheme.
