CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police found 27-year-old Rashad Porter shot to death and lying in the roadway on the 4300 block of Major Street around 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
Porter’s family has been notified of his death. Police responded to a call for an assault with a deadly weapon.
Detectives are canvassing the neighborhood for any witnesses or evidence. CMPD says the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team, Real Time Crime Center, K9 Unit and the Vice and Gang Unit responded to the scene.
