Charlotte, N.C. – Students and alumni at UNC Charlotte are teaming up for a Habitat for Humanity Build for Homecoming Weekend. It is the first ever Habitat Home built on the UNC Charlotte campus. Construction started two weeks ago and will continue until the house is 50% complete when it will then be moved to it’s permanent location. Students and alumni helped raise more than $60,000 to pay for construction materials.
Organizers say it is a great way to draw student attention. The home will be unveiled at the UNC Charlotte 49ers first ever homecoming football game on Saturday.
