Prominent Rock Hill Attorney Killed By Son

SPARTANBURG, S.C. — A prominent attorney in Rock Hill was allegedly killed by his son over the weekend in Spartanburg, S.C.

Investigators say they were called to a home on Eastway Drive in reference to a shooting. Β When they arrived on the scene, police say 23-year-old Osiris Hinton claimed to have shot his father.

Detectives say 47-year-old Oshun Cyrus Hinton was found dead inside the home. Β Police say he was shot in the back of the head. Β 

Osiris Hinton has been charged with murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Β He is being held without bond in the Spartanburg County Jail. Β Police have not released a motive at this time.

The elder Hinton was the attorney for the man accused of killing Chester Councilman Odell Williams.
