CHESTER, S.C. — Police in Chester are investigating their first homicide of the year.
Officers responded to the scene of a shooting at the intersection of Pinckney and Reedy Streets Wednesday night. They found a 16-year-old male lying in the road. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
No arrests have been made at this time.
The Chester Police Department is asking anyone with information about this shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-CRIMESTOPPERS.
