IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Richard Kraus, 25 of Huntersville, was arrested on Friday after stealing landscaping items and posing as a landscape worker.
Sergeant W.G Hayes started investigating after receiving multiple reports of stolen landscaping lights and decorative items from different communities.
The name Richard Kraus emerged and witnesses were able to identify Kraus’ white Dodge Ram.
Kraus had warrants in June for felony larceny, misdemeanor larceny and injury to personal property. Kraus was placed into custody and taken to the Iredell County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.
The case is still under investigation in reference to harboring a fugitive and larceny of landscaping items in other jurisdictions.
Police say the reason Kraus was hard to detect was because he posed as a landscape worker.
