CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police officer arrested Concord pediatrician Dr. Allen Cherer on Sunday at 2PM. Β Cherer has been charged with indecent exposure. Β A police report indicates Cherer was at a rest stop off I-77N in southwest Charlotte when he exposed “the private parts of his body in a public place and in the presence of another person.”Β Β
The 63-year-old is currently out of jail. Β Cherer works at Carolinas Medical Center Northeast Β in Concord. Β A CMC spokesman tells WCCB Cherer has been put on paid administrative leave. Β They issued no other comment.Β
