SEATTLE (AP) β€” The Seattle Mariners are reportedly close to acquiring another top free agent. A year ago it was Robinson Cano (kan-OH’), this year it’s Nelson Cruz. Two people with knowledge of the deal tell The Associated Press that Seattle is on the verge of signing Cruz. He led the majors with 40 home runs last season while playing for Baltimore.
