UNION COUNTY, N.C. — Officials say Union County’s 911 service line for cell phones is currently down. Anyone using a cell phone who needs to report an emergency should call 704-289-1591.
The calls to this number will go directly to the county’s 911 call center and callers will receive the same service as if they dialed 911.
Any caller using a home or office phone are still able to call 911. Officials are working to correct the issue at this time.
