CHARLOTTE,NC–CMS is already getting feedback from parents about later school days.
Superintendent Heath Morrison met with about a dozen parents to discuss possible changes to the bell policy.
Schools with a late bell schedule get out at 4:15 and some parents have complained the late bells cut into homework and family time.
Morrison says the late bell schedule saves the district $4million on transportation costs.
It also adds 45 minutes of extra classroom time for elementary students.
