UCLA routs Cal State Fullerton 73-45

LOS ANGELES (AP) β€” Norman Powell led five players in double figures with 18 points, making three 3-pointers, and UCLA routed Cal State Fullerton 73-45 Wednesday night to improve to 4-0 at home.

Bryce Alford added 14 points, Tony Parker and Isaac Hamilton had 12 each, and freshman Kevon Looney had 10 points and 13 rebounds for the Bruins (6-2), who were coming off losing two of three games at last week’s Battle 4 Atlantis tournament in the Bahamas.

Alex Harris led Fullerton (3-5) with 10 points. Lanerryl Johnson, who was averaging 18.1 points, finished with eight after picking up his third foul early in the second half.

The Titans closed within 13 points in the second half on a three-point play by Kennedy Esume. But the Bruins answered with a 13-0 run, including a 3-pointer and basket by Alford that stretched their lead to 60-34. Powell and Hamilton chipped in 3-pointers, too.
