CHARLOTTE, N.C. — 36-year-old Jason Paul Foster, vanished. His wife says she just can’t figure it out. His cell phone goes straight to voicemail. Police are working to figure out the last pings it sent out. Foster’s passport is still at home. And: “There’s been no bank activity. I checked his credit report. There’s nothing I don’t know about,” says Lauren White-Foster.

Foster, a Wells Fargo financial crimes specialist, went to work last Tuesday, October 15th and never came home. White-Foster says, “I saw him Monday night, completely normal, acting goofy with me. That’s how he acts.”

Co-workers say he left his desk around 8:30 AM to get a cup of coffee and then went to get a pair of headphones from his car. Foster’s vehicle was last seen leaving the Wells Fargo office building where he worked in the 1500 block of West W.T. Harris Boulevard. His car is a dark grey, four door 2009 Hyundai Sonata. It has North Carolina tag XYJ-4928 and a sticker on the back that displays “26.2,” the distance of a marathon. Also, the front windshield is cracked.

White-Foster says surveillance cameras captured her husband walking to his car and then the vehicle leaving the parking lot. But the cameras can’t clearly show who is inside the car. She describes him as a diligent employee. A loving husband. And a guy who’d never leave his pets behind. She says, “I just wanna know that he’s alright. That’s all I care about. I don’t care where he was or what he did. I just need to know that he is alright.”

The couple’s 11-year wedding anniversary is October 31st. White-Foster hopes Jason is home to celebrate. He’s about six feet tall, 200 pounds, has brown hair and hazel eyes. If you’ve seen him or his car, call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
