CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Two men face drug charges after reports of shots fired on Interstate 85 in west Charlotte. Police tell WCCB, a driver called 911 saying people in one car were shooting at another car near the Sam Wilson Road exit.
A trooper in the area observed a silver vehicle matching the suspect description on the side of the road on the outer loop of I-485 near the I-85 south ramp. They say, two men were seen running away from the vehicle. After a short pursuit, both were located and taken into custody.
Adrian McCloud was arrested and is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and drug charges. Antoine Nicholson was also arrested on drug charges.
A burgundy vehicle was seen leaving the scene where shots were fired on I-85 but that vehicle has not yet been identified. Police say McCloud and Nicholson were victims of the reported shooting.
