CHARLOTTE, NC — Get on your bikes and ride!  Hundreds of people are harnessing their pedal power to help in the fight against cancer. The 13th Annual 24 Hours of Booty started rolling at 7pm Friday night in Dilworth.  Teams of all ages and biking skill levels are riding to raise funds for several cancer organizations.

“There’s such a need for cancer research, and they’re doing such great things.  So the more money we can raise, the quicker they can find more and more remedies, more and more drugs, new technologies for treatment,” said Dilworth resident Mark Talbot.

More than 11,000 riders have raised more than $10 million in the event’s 12-year history.  The final lap in this year’s 24 Hours of Booty starts at 6:45 Saturday night.
