ST. LOUIS (AP) β The NFL game this evening is being played in St. Louis and has the Rams playing host to Arizona’s Cardinals. The visitors are tied for the league’s best record at 10-3 while the Rams are 6-7. The Cards beat the Rams 31-14 earlier in the season.
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) β The Golden State Warriors are still red hot. The team coached by rookie Steve Kerr won its 14th straight game last night, stopping a good Houston team 105-93. Klay Thompson led five Warriors in double figures with 21 points while James Harden of the Rockets had a game-high 34.
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) β The refurbished Oklahoma City Thunder are home tonight to the Central Division-leading Cavaliers. Cleveland has won eight straight and is led by LeBron James while the Thunder are back under the wings of Kevin Durant, who missed the first part of the season after suffering an injury.
NAPLES, Fla. (AP) β The opening round of the PGA’s Franklin Templeton Shootout starts today in Naples, Florida. This is a team event that was won a year ago by Matt Kuchar (KOO’-chur) and Harris English.
WOKING, England (AP) β Former world champion Fernando Alonso has joined the McLaren Formula One racing team for the 2015 season. He leaves Ferrari and joins another former world champ, Jenson Button, behind the wheel for McLaren.
