Teenager Charged With Attempted Murder In East Charlotte Shooting

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A teenager is facing attempted first degree murder charges after being accused of shooting a woman during a robbery attempt in east Charlotte. 

Detectives say 17-year-old Raquan Anderson shot a woman on Hunting Ridge Lane after she refused to give the Anderson and another man her property. 

Police also identified Marcellus Morris as a second suspect in the case.  Anderson has been charged with attempted 1st degree murder, attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to robbery with a dangerous weapon. 

Morris has been charged with attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.  The victim has serious injuries from the shooting.
