
ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A routine traffic stop ended with two men facing drug charges in Rowan County. Β
Police stopped a pickup truck occupied by Mathew Robertson and Brandon Moody on Pop Stirewalt Road on July 25th. Β Investigators say the suspects immediately got out of the vehicle in an effort to distance themselves from the truck. Β
After a brief struggle, both suspects were passed into handcuffs. Β Officers searched the truck and found six grams of meth, plastic baggies, digital scales, one gram of heroin, used syringes and $83. Β
Robertson has been charged with possession with intent to sale and distribute meth, possession of heroin, simple possession of Sch IV narcotic, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while license revoked. Β Moody has been charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. Β
