CHICAGO (AP) β€” The Milwaukee Bucks, who were down 3-0 in their first-round NBA playoff series, now find themselves heading home needing a victory Thursday night to tie the series with Chicago at three games apiece. Michael Carter-Williams had 22 points, eight rebounds and nine assists in the Bucks’ 94-88 road victory in Chicago last night.

NEW YORK (AP)β€” Deron (DEHR’-ihn) Williams rebounded from two dismal games with 35 points, and the Brooklyn Nets pulled out a 120-115 overtime victory over the Atlanta Hawks to tie that series at two games apiece. Brook Lopez had 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Nets.

UNDATED (AP)β€” In the NHL playoffs, the Washington Capitals advanced to play the New York Rangers by beating the Islanders 2-1 in Game 7 of that first round series. And Tampa Bay got two goals from Tyler Johnson and beat Detroit 5-2 to force a Game 7 Wednesday night to decide that first round series.

ATLANTA (AP)β€” The Atlanta Braves handed the Washington Nationals their sixth straight loss, 8-4. Kelly Johnson hit a two-run homer. The Nationals, preseason favorites to win the World Series, made four errors and dropped into the basement of the NL East with a 7-13 record. They are eight games back of the Mets.

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) β€” Josh Hamilton is back with the Texas Rangers. The Los Angeles Angels wanted to get rid of him so much they are expected to pay most of the remaining $80.2 million on his contract. Hamilton, who has a history of drug and alcohol issues, never reported to the Angels this season after offseason right shoulder surgery.
