MLB-SCHEDULE
O’s home game postponed again and there’s a great pitcher’s duel in LA
UNDATED (AP) β The Chicago at Baltimore game scheduled for tonight has been postponed in the wake of Monday’s rioting in the streets of Baltimore. No makeup date has been announced.
The street violence also forced the postponement of Monday night’s game at Camden Yards.
The team says it made the decision after consulting with Major League Baseball and state and local officials.
Baltimore public schools were closed today and the mayor has imposed a 10 p.m.-to-5 a.m. curfew, beginning tonight.
There’s an excellent pitching matchup tonight in Los Angeles as the Dodgers entertain their long-time rivals from San Francisco. On the mound for the home team will be former Cy Young Award winner and National League MVP Clayton Kershaw against last fall’s World Series star Madison Bumgarner. Neither is off to a great start this season as each is 1-1 with an earned run average above four.
Surprise, Houston is now the hottest team in baseball. The Astros have won their last four games and tonight continue their series against the Padres in San Diego.
The team with the best record continues to be another surprise club as the Mets are 15-5, sitting on top of the National League East. The New Yorkers are in Miami this evening.
The rest of tonight’s schedule has a full complement of games.
