The operator of the Vortex rideΒ that malfunctioned and injured five peopleΒ at the NC State Fair has been charged with “assault with a deadly weapon”. Β Allegedly, he rigged the machine so it would keep working when it actually need a repair. Β Does “assault” seem appropriate here?
