CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have identified the person accused of making threats against Providence High School. Β Over the weekend, someone posted the following threats on social media:
“Ya think this is funny haha wait till Monday when I ____ blow your brains out of your head especially a particular person I’m waiting to see in my sorrows.”
Another threat said, “Providence students, enjoy this lovely weekend with your awesome friends and perfect family. Come Monday, you will be repaid for all the pain you have caused me for years.”Β

Police stepped up security and parents were sent warnings on social media, after the death threats were made against students at Providence High School.

“They had the K-9 units going through the building. There were people everywhere basically,” says parent Kristi Buttles.Β

CMS Police will be working Β closely with the district attorney’s office to determine the specific charges against the suspect. Β
