CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte music scene has a number of bands from different genres performing around the city and surrounding regiion. Michael Tracy has been an integral part of this scene for many years.
Last year, he created the Music Matinee as a way to showcase local and regional bands. What started as a small venture has grown in its second year with more bands and a larger audience already buying tickets.
This year’s event will be Sunday, April 13th at Amos’ Southend and it is special because part of the proceeds from the showcase will benefit the Wounded Warriors Project.
I was able to catch up with Michael at his band’s studio to discuss his vision for the Music Matinee and the joy he gets from doing charitable work.
