BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Derrick Marks scored 17 points, and Boise State set a school record for fewest points allowed in a game in a 77-33 win over Abilene Christian in a Las Vegas Classic game on Saturday.
The previous mark of 35 points allowed was recorded on Dec. 13, 1994, in a 66-35 win against Cal Poly. Abilene Christian managed only 14 points in the second half after trailing 34-19 at halftime.
The Broncos (9-2) never trailed. They scored the first 13 points and led by as many as 21 in the first half in winning their fifth consecutive game. Marks scored 11 points in the opening half when Boise State made 14 of 23 shots from the field. Marks, a senior, made a career-best five 3-point field goals.
Abilene Christian (4-6) missed its first 11 shots and fell behind 13-0.
