ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was found dead at a home in Rowan County. Detectives say someone called 911 after they found a man and woman lying on the ground outside a home on River Road in Richfield.
Investigators believe the two victims were assaulted. The man was pronounced deceased on the scene. The woman was taken to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Police believe someone committed a robbery at the residence. No other information is being released at this time.
