RALEIGH, N.C. — The Amber Alert for 2 year old Tristan Matthew Blue of Raleigh has been canceled and his father is now facing murder charges.
While most children woke up on Christmas morning with presents under the tree, one family is dealing with tragedy. Police say 31 year old Steven Blue murdered his son Tristan on Christmas Eve.
The little boy was two months shy of his third birthday.
His mother Briana Dangerfield is charged with neglect. Warrants say she left her little boy home alone around 7:45 in the morning while she went to work. The family reported him missing five hours later…and told police the boy may have wandered from the apartment.
By 7am Christmas Day police had both parents in custody.
Tristan’s body has not been recovered and the case remains under investigation.
