The Wolf Moon is the first full moon of 2022 and is full tonight – Monday, January 17th 2022.

The January full moon got its name “The Wolf Moon” because wolves can be heard howling at the moon more around this time of year.
The moon was officially full at 6:48 pm Monday evening. While the moon will set at 7:32 AM Tuesday, it will appear full over the next couple of days.
Weather conditions are perfect for viewing the full moon across the WCCB Charlotte area with clear skies. It is a frigid night ahead though with overnight low temperatures in the teens.
The next full moon in February 16th, 2022. This moon is referred to as the Snow Moon.
