ROCK HILL, SC — Adults can get free dental care Saturday in Rock Hill. Friday, dentists and hygienists prepped for the second day of a clinic at the First Baptist Church.
Hundreds showed up Friday for cleanings, fillings, x-rays, extractions, and more. The South Carolina Dental Association anticipates nearly 1,500 people will take advantage of the free event.
“This is very important to the indigent, homeless, the working, the poor. People who don’t have dental insurance or may not have the means to get dental care regularly. And its a big deal that we’re able to help people so we’re very thankful we can do that,” said Dr. Bill Cranford of Cranford Dental.
The two-day event continues Saturday from 6am until 3pm. It’s first come, first served, so people need to arrive early.
