CHARLOTTE, N.C.- Lots of hard work goes into every Hornets game to ensure awesome fan experience. Our cameras went behind the scenes to show fans what they don’t normally see at a game.
From meetings to a nice hot meal to get everyone energized, we are showing you everything that takes place off the court in preparation for a Hornets game. Let’s start with rehearsals.
Big Pat is the Voice of the Hornets. He shares a small behind the scenes secret with us on his superstition, “Like I will not touch the mic before 5pm cause I’ve been doing it that way for 10 years.”
One of the major highlights in pregame rehearsals is watching the Honeybees practice.
As far as the Swarm Squad, they come hyped every game. They’re high energy, they get the crowds pumped, and they have some of the best dance moves I know.
From DJ Complete hooking up his turn tables, to the production team, greeters and security, a lot goes on behind the scenes to ensure a great entertainment fan experience.
In one word, Seth Bennett, Senior VP of Marketing, Entertainment and Interactive Mediadescribes each game as “electric, “You can get a little goose bumpy and your hair kind of stands up on the back of your neck when you feel that energy come from the audience and from the fans especially late in the game.”
These are experiences you don’t want to miss, says Big Pat, “Oh it’s like a play off game every night in here”
