GRANVILLE COUNTY, NC — A father and son duo are both behind bars after a multi-state crime rampage that left a North Carolina couple dead, and their home torched.

Edward Campbell and his son Eric Campbell were caught after a New Year’s Day shootout that wounded two police officers in West Virginia.  Officers found the bodies of Jerome and Dora Faulkner inside their truck, underneath a mattress.  The North Carolina couple lived in Granville County.

“If the West Virginia police had not of stopped them, this crime spree woulda continued on,” said Granville County Sheriff Brindell Wilkins, Jr.  “And there’s no telling from the investigation at this point what we’re going to find.”

Police say the crime spree started in the father and son’s hometown of Alvin, Texas.
