MORGANTON, N.C. — Police have issued an arrest warrant for the boyfriend of one of the victims in the triple homicide that happened in Morganton over the weekend.
Investigators say Donald Kincaid, 56, will be served with the murder warrant in the next few days. Police say his whereabouts are known and he is currently in police custody.
Police found Kincaid’s girlfriend, 54-year-old Barbara Johnson, her son, Freddie Thompson Jr, 21, and a family friend, Zakiya El Bey, 75, dead early Sunday morning at a home on West Concord Street.
According to police, all three victims appeared to have died as a result of blunt force trauma. However, autopsies are scheduled for Wednesday.
