TORONTO,CA–A leave of absence for Toronto Mayor who admitted to buying drugs while in office.
The Toronto City Council unanimously voted for Rob Ford to step down Wednesday.
Ford apologized for buying cocaine but says voters should decide whether he keeps his job.
“The reason I drank or did drugs was not because of stress, it was out of sheer stupidity. Thats all it was,” says Ford.
Ford, who is cooperating with police has not been charged with any crimes.
