CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police have charged an east Charlotte associate minister with more than two dozen additional sex charges. Β
Orlando Caldera was taking into custody at Memorial United Methodist Church on Central Avenue on August 4th after a woman claimed he sexually assaulted two children. Β
After being interviewed by detectives, Caldera was charged with two counts of taking indecent liberties with a child. Β
After the initial investigation, police determined there were more potential victims. Β Now, police have charged Caldera with an additional 26 felony charges. Β
Police say he assaulted a total of seven victims who range from six to 10 years of age. Β Detectives say they are continuing to try to identify any additional victims. Β
