The nonprofit Faithful Companion Canine Rescue will host a 5K & Dog Walk Sunday, Aug. 24 at 9 a.m. at Freedom Park in Charlotte to raise money for a local veternarian fighting breast cancer. Dr. Christine Miles of Heart & Hand Veterinary Hospital in Charlotte will benefit from the walk to help cover medical billshe event also includes a bake sale and silent auction.
