Eviction Process Begins For Owners Of The Penguin Drive-In

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge has ruled to evict the operators of The Penguin Drive-In, a famous restaurant in east Charlotte.

According to paperwork filed in court, the owners of the restaurant allegedly broke their lease and have 10 days to appeal the eviction or they must move out.

The paperwork states the owner, Lisa Ballentine, owes more than $17,000 in rent.  The landlords have already cut the power to the restaurant.
