Eviction Process Begins For Owners Of The Penguin Drive-In

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A judge has ruled to evict the operators of The Penguin Drive-In, a famous restaurant in east Charlotte. Β 

According to paperwork filed in court, the owners of the restaurant allegedly broke their lease and have 10 days to appeal the eviction or they must move out. Β 

The paperwork states the owner, Lisa Ballentine, owes more than $17,000 in rent. Β The landlords have already cut the power to the restaurant. Β
