GASTONIA, N.C.– One person is dead after their moped was hit by a SUV on Bessemer City Road Saturday night.
Gastonia Police say Robby Dean Brandon was pulling out of Little L’s Bar & Grill on a moped when he was hit.
Brandon was treated by Gaston Emergency Medical Services and transported to CaroMont Regional Medical Center where he later died.
The preliminary investigation indicates that speed was not a factor.
No charges have been filed at this time and the collision is still under investigation.
