FERGUSON, MO — Protesters were back in the streets of Ferguson Wednesday night. Many are calling for the prosecutor looking into Michael Brown’s death to step aside because of his ties to law enforcement.
A grand jury started hearing evidence in Brown’s shooting Wednesday. Officer Darren Wilson has told friends he shot Brown after he rushed at him. Meantime, Attorney General Eric Holder attended community meetings today and met with Brown’s parents.
“Hopefully will have a calming influence on the area, that people know that a Federal, thorough investigation is being done,” said Holder.
Police were criticized today after they checked to see if protesters were staying at a church in Ferguson. Residents accused the officers of intimidation and harassment.
