Discussion:
It’s going to be a nice and calm start to February with pleasant and mild temps through mid-week with highs in the mid to upper 50s. Clouds filled in this morning, but clear skies will return today with more clouds filling tomorrow. This stagnant pattern is increasing finer pollutants closer to the ground and a code yellow air quality alert will be in effect today and tomorrow. It will be an unsettled and soggy end to the week with rain and showers picking up Thursday morning. Although rain will be scattered Thursday it will be much more steady and at times heavy on Friday. Highs will be warmest at this time in the mid to upper 60s. Much colder this weekend with temps only reaching the low 50s on Saturday. Sunday will be another day to watch. Depending on how much moisture we get into the region, we could be looking at a rain/freezing rain mix that could make things icy Sunday into Monday.
