Two People Found Dead Inside Lowell Home Sparking Investigation

LOWELL, N.C. — The Lowell Police Department is investigating after two people were found dead inside a home Monday night.

Police were dispatched to Westover Street, off of Andrew Jackson Highway, around 9:40 p.m. after receiving an unknown problems call. The caller was one of the victim’s family members that was not on the scene.

Upon arrival, officers found that the front door was unlocked and once inside they located two victims, a man and woman, dead.

According to authorities, there was another male victim that was taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia.

The names of all three victims are not going to be released at this time, police say.

The cause of death of the two deceased has not been released pending autopsy. Police say there was no signs of trauma or injury to either of the victims.

The investigation into the case is active and ongoing.
