Police: Six People Sent To Hospital After Overdosing At Omni Grove Park Inn

ASHEVILLE, N.C. – Police say six people were sent to a local hospital after allegedly overdosing on drugs at the Omni Grove Park Inn in Asheville over the weekend.

Asheville Police say they responded to the resort at 7:45p.m. on February 5th after reports of multiple overdoses in a hotel room. First responders say they provided emergency care to two patients.  However, police say six total people were sent to the hospital for treatment.

Police have not released what caused the overdoses but did say narcotics were found at the scene.  An investigation is ongoing, according to a news release.  Police are requesting anyone with additional information to call 828-252-1110 or send tips anonymously using the TIP2APD smartphone app or by texting TIP2APD to 847411.
