INDIAN TRAIL, N.C. — Deputies say a 53-year-old Indian Trail man faces a 1st degree murder charge for allegedly killing his wife.
Around 10:15 a.m. Friday morning, Union County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to a home on Paddle Wheel Lane in order to conduct a well-being check.
The Sheriff’s Office had received information from multiple sources that a potentially dead woman was inside the home.
Due to the nature of the reported information, multiple deputies, detectives, and members of the Special Response Team responded to the home and located a woman, identified as Ashely Drinnon, 48, dead inside the home.
During the initial investigation, the husband of the woman, Timothy Drinnon, 53, was taken into custody of the Union County Jail and charged with 1st degree murder.
Detectives say they are still trying to determine Drinnon’s motives in the killing of his wife.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
