ROCK HILL, S.C. — A 66-year-old man has been arrested after a Monday morning shooting in Rock Hill left a victim injured, according to police.
The Rock Hill Police Department responded to an Ellen Avenue home around 2:13 a.m. in reference to a shooting.
Officers were informed that the 46-year-old man was being taken to Piedmont Medical Center by his girlfriend for treatment.
At the hospital, officers found the victim with a non-life-threatening wound to his side, according to a news release.
The victim informed police that he was shot during an altercation with David Lee Crockett, the identified suspect in the case, according to authorities.
At the Ellen Avenue residence, police found Crockett and evidence related to the shooting.
Crockett was taken into custody by police and transported to the Rock Hill Jail.
Crockett was charged with assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, possession of a weapon during a crime of violence, and unlawful possession of a firearm by a person convicted of a violent crime, police said.
