Cool Valentine’s Day, Warmer Through Mid-Week
We’ve got good cuddle weather for this Valentine’s Day with temps in the 20s & 30s to start the morning off. Highs will reach the low 50s today under sunny skies. Although temps will be slightly below average this afternoon, we have a nice warm-up the rest of the week with temps reaching the low 60s by Wednesday.
Heavy Rain, Possible Storms Thursday into Friday
A strong cold front will likely bring severe weather across parts of the south Wednesday. Temps will rise into the upper 60s to lower 70s Thursday ahead of this front. As of now, the severe threat looks to be limited for our region, but can’t rule out a stronger storm, or two and it is something that will need to be watched over the next few days. The biggest concern as of now is heavy rain that could lead to localized flooding. There will be plenty of moisture to be tapped into from the Gulf, so flash flooding could be a concern beginning late Thursday through early Friday. It will be windy through Friday afternoon with drier and milder air filtering in for the weekend.
