PINEVILLE, N.C. — The Pineville Police Department is requesting the help of the public with identifying three women who were involved in a larceny at the Sunglass Hut.
Detectives say, on July 31, three women with handbags went to the Sunglass Hut at Carolina Place Mall. While one of the women distracted the store employee, detectives say the other two women stuffed more than a dozen sunglasses into their purses. The store employee told detectives, all three women left the store without paying for them.
Authorities would not say the exact amount of the sunglasses but say the total value estimated at a few thousand dollars.
The women left the mall in a Dodge Charge SRT. Anyone with information is asked to call Pineville Matthews Police Department.
