February Full “Snow” Moon

The February full moon is also known as the "snow" moon.

Step outside to view the February full moon which is also known as the “snow” moon. February is called the snow Moon because on average, February is the snowiest month of the year.

The moon is technically full Wednesday at 11:56 AM, but it will be below the horizon. The moon will set Wednesday morning at 7:27 and rise again at 6:11 PM.

Weather conditions across the Carolinas are perfect for viewing the full moon Tuesday evening. Clouds will gradually increase and skies will turn mostly cloudy Wednesday evening.

The next full moon will occur on March 18th. The March full moon is also known as the “Worm” moon.
