CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police say a man is facing charges after his passenger died in a car crash early Tuesday morning in northeast Charlotte.
Investigators say Milan Shannon, 21, was driving at an excessive speed on East Mallard Creek Church Road when he lost control of his car, hit a tree and rolled down an embankment.
Shannon’s passenger, 20-year-old Devin Johnson, was killed in the crash. Shannon was treated for minor injuries. Police charged him with driving while impaired, felony death by motor vehicle and reckless driving.
