CATS To Observe Moment Of Silence For Fallen Bus Driver Ethan Rivera
CHARLOTTE, N.C. — On Friday at 12 p.m., CATS will pause all transit operations for two minutes as they ask the Charlotte community to honor deceased bus driver Ethan Rivera in a moment of silence.
CATS will perform an “all-call” radio communication to all bus, rail and paratransit operators announcing the moment of silence.
During this time, operators will only pause service if deemed safe with current roadway and traffic conditions.
Ethan Rivera was shot and killed in Uptown Charlotte Friday night during a road rage incident, according to police.
