A Silver Alert for missing 80-year-old Ernest Johnson of Rowan County has been cancelled at the request of the sheriff’s office.

ROWAN CO., N.C. — A Silver Alert has been issued for missing, endangered 80-year-old Ernest Johnson from Rowan County.
Ernest Johnson
Johnson is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive disability.
Authorities say Johnson was last seen on Stirewalt Road in China Grove, N.C. traveling in a light blue 2020 Nissan Rouge with license plate number HFM-8263.
He is described as a White man, 5 feet 10 inches, 115 pounds with short grey hair and brown eyes.
Authorities say he was last seen wearing Wrangle jeans, Wrangle denim jacket, and black boots with an American flag on them.
