CHARLOTTE, N.C. — CMS confirms that a student on the campus of West Charlotte High School was found to be in possession of a weapon on Friday.
In a morning note sent out to West Charlotte High families, Principal Donevin Hoskins told parents that all students and staff are safe and the school day is continuing like normal.
Law enforcement is currently conducting a full investigation.
Hoskins says “Please speak with your students about the serious consequences of bringing a weapon to school. It is a violation of the law and the CMS Code of Student Conduct to bring any weapon on campus. Thank you for your support of West Charlotte High.”
