STATESVILLE, N.C. — Detectives say a gunshot victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries Friday morning after a shooting in Statesville.
Officers with the Statesville Police Department responded to the reported shooting around 7:20 a.m., after getting a 911 hang up in the area of fifth street.
At the scene, officers located a gunshot victim inside the home suffering from serious injuries.
The investigation into this case is active and ongoing.
