CHARLOTTE, N.C. – A new study shows having a pet bestie could boost your brain power. Researchers found your furry friend could delay memory loss and other kinds of cognitive decline. Especially verbal memory, like memorizing a list of words. For example: all the crazy nicknames you come up with for your pet. There’s no clear answer why this is the case, but previous studies have shown stress has a negative impact on the brain, and pets can help reduce stress. Study authors say you’ve gotta have a pet pal for five years or more for this to apply.

Plus, Burger King’s chicken nugget meal is facing some cut backs. The meal is being reduced from ten nuggets to eight. But the fast food giant say the cost of the meal will stay the same.

And, Coors Light is offering Blessed Beer for a limited time. The company says the new Coors Almighty Light is made with real blessed water to “ward off demons and keep your soul safe.”
